Intelligent application filtering and signal-to-noise tools for recruiters
User story
As a recruiter managing hundreds of applications per open role, I want intelligent filtering tools that surface the most relevant candidates based on role-specific criteria — not just keyword matching — so that I can spend my time on candidates worth interviewing rather than processing noise.
Description
Application filtering must go beyond keyword matching to assess genuine fit based on skills, trajectory, and role requirements. Recruiters should be able to define weighted criteria, see match scores with reasoning, and flag mass-apply patterns. The system should distinguish between tailored applications and one-click bulk applies.
Acceptance criteria
- Recruiter can define up to 10 weighted criteria (skills, experience, location, role history) per job listing
- Each application receives a match score with a plain-language breakdown of how criteria were weighted
- Applications submitted via one-click bulk-apply are flagged as such — not hidden or suppressed, but labelled
- Recruiter dashboard shows application quality distribution (tailored vs quick-apply vs bulk) per listing
- Filtering changes update the candidate list in real time without page reload
- Recruiter can export filtered candidate lists to CSV or direct ATS integration
- Match scoring logic is disclosed to candidates in plain language in their application confirmation
Original request
Recruiters need better tools to filter through huge volumes of applications and identify genuine candidates rather than mass applicants.
