Actionable content analytics for creators — reach drivers, not just impressions

Submitted by sudo · Apr 1, 2026

User story

As a content creator posting regularly to build an audience, I want to understand exactly what factors are driving or limiting my reach on each post — format, timing, topic, engagement depth — so that I can make informed decisions about what to create rather than guessing.

Description

Creator analytics should go beyond impressions and likes to surface the specific factors that drove or suppressed a post's distribution. Dwell time breakdowns, drop-off points for long-form content, audience segment reach, and format comparisons should all be accessible without requiring a premium subscription.

Acceptance criteria

  1. Each post shows: impressions, unique viewers, average dwell time, engagement rate, and reach-beyond-followers count
  2. Analytics dashboard includes a "reach drivers" panel identifying the top 3 factors that boosted or limited a post
  3. Format comparison chart shows 90-day performance by content type (text, image, document, video, carousel)
  4. Optimal posting time recommendation based on the creator's own audience activity — not generic platform averages
  5. Audience segment breakdown: what percentage reached 1st / 2nd / 3rd degree connections
  6. All core analytics are available to free accounts — no paywall on understanding your own content's performance
  7. Data export available in CSV for all metrics, covering up to 12 months of history

Original request

I'm a content creator and I have no idea what's actually driving reach on my posts. I need real analytics, not vanity metrics.
