Verifiable employment history and education credentials

User story

As a recruiter reviewing candidate profiles, I want to see which parts of a candidate's experience and education have been independently verified, so that I can trust the credentials I'm evaluating and stop having to independently verify claims that the platform could verify once on behalf of everyone.

Description

Work history and educational credentials can be verified through integration with authoritative sources — employer HR systems, university registries, professional licensing bodies. Verified credentials are marked with a clear badge. Unverified claims are not hidden but are displayed differently. Falsified credentials that pass verification are reported to the relevant institution.

Acceptance criteria

1. Users can request verification for any employment entry by providing a work email from that employer
2. University degrees can be verified via integration with HEDD, NSC, or equivalent registry by country
3. Professional licences (legal, medical, accounting, engineering) can be verified via the relevant licensing body API
4. Verified credentials show a timestamped verification badge and the method used
5. Unverified entries are displayed with a neutral "Unverified" label — not hidden from profile viewers
6. Third parties cannot verify claims on behalf of a user without that user's explicit consent
7. Verification status is re-checked annually; expired verifications revert to "Unverified" with user notification
